Child Find assists in locating, identifying and obtaining services for children with disabilities or special needs.

To complete the FDLRS Child Find Referral Packet follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the form button below to download the forms to your computer.
  2. Complete the forms.
  3. Email the forms to esechildfind@browardschools.com 

The fillable forms do not save automatically and will be emailed blank if not saved.

To make a referral for children with developmental concerns, please call Broward Early Steps at (954) 728-1101 or complete a referral form HERE.

 

 

The goal of Child Find is to assure that all children, birth through 21, who need special education and related services, receive a free appropriate education. Child Find is the entry point for Exceptional Student Learning Support for birth-to-five-year-old children and their families in Broward County.

Children ages birth to three, who are in need of Early Steps services, are referred for Part C Services. These services are for infants and toddlers who have disabilities or development delays, and their families click here for Your Journey Through Early Steps.

Child Find also provide free screenings for children ages 3-5 who may have special needs. The screenings are coordinated with the area preschool assessment teams: The Road Through Child Find.
